Do You Explore Your Feelings in More Depth?

Today we want to talk about Feelings. You do have them, don’t you?

IMAGINE. DREAM. BELIEVE.

We’d like to discuss feelings in more depth. They might affect you if you’re not cautious, and you don’t know what to look out for. So, sit back and see what you think, as we explore “Your” Feelings.

If you’ve been thinking that feelings were complicated and somewhat difficult to follow or understand, you are certainly right! In addition to that, over our years of experience, we have seen how feelings come about on Different Levels

Let’s explore these LEVELS and see how they are applicable in your life

№1 we’ll call DEEPER FEELINGS. When you wake up in the morning do you have a few different feelings? Your initial feeling is about your Deeper Level. It’s about your life and how happy and secure you feel.

Generally speaking, you can feel OK on your “gut level”. You know you’re secure and cared for yet, you know you’ll have to do certain things to be able to get to where you want to be. This initial feeling about your “deep core” deeper level is about your happiness and security, and your present life situation.

However, if you wake up in the mornings and don’t feel secure, then “Survival mode” feelings take the first position. Your “gut level” begins to build steps to defend yourself another day. Survival is your highest priority!

Perhaps you’re worried and are experiencing high levels of anxiety. You feel like you are generally unhappy and insecure. That’s a bad situation but then … you already know that don’t you? I’m truly sorry about that however you will get tougher and things will be better as you face your reality!

Hopefully, when you wake up, your Deeper feelings are one of well-being and general “trust” in your environment. Either way, you can be helpful by beginning to say Positive things to yourself right away. Naturally, the positive attitude supports the “deeper feelings” and helps you do better.

By speaking out Positively, you give good things Permission to happen!

You’re off to a better start when you take time each day and begin by counting your blessings. It’s likely you have rough times ahead so, you now is the time to secure a positive base for yourself.

№2 we’ll call SURFACE FEELINGS. If you are happy and excited about your life and day, then you have the surface level of feelings of excitement and happiness for that particular day. Feelings about what will happen with what you’ll be doing, and activities you’ll face that day.

Other feelings include concerns or your interests, and you hoping you’ll be able to do your things the right way. You may see feelings rise to the surface like anxiety or fear. Perhaps fear you’ll forget something, or you’ll fail.

These surface-level feelings encourage you to think about things completely through. You know that if you do that, you’ll have a better chance and a good understanding of what works best for you.

This helps to remind you of what to look out for. Recognize and identify by name, these “daily” Surface Feelings, and then move on. It achieves nothing if you continue to worry and stress. The “surface level” of feelings helps you build a better layer of determination, toughness, and courage.

They usually apply only to what you are feeling … right at that time, but things actually do change and often by the end of the day you may feel … something entirely different.

So now let’s say, you ‘re generally OK about your life and circumstances. You feel more control over … your commitments, and activities, and you have good anticipation about the day ahead. You’re happy that you’re up and moving forward toward meeting your needs and goals for the day. You’re taking care of business!! So what happens next?

№3 we’ll call the level of UNEXPECTED FEELINGS. Does something happen now, that interrupts your “moderately good” level of feelings? How do you react to circumstances out of your control? What level of attention are you going to give to this “interruption” of your good feelings?

How much “control” are you willing to let this disruption have? Can you still feel good about yourself and your day, in spite of this interruption? Yes. Yes, you can! You can choose to maintain your inner calm and peace, in spite of other feelings.

A nagging remark, bad weather, a missed detail, an overload of work resulting in disappointment! The list goes on and on however, you can rise above it. It is interference and an unexpected feeling! So use your mind and loving spirit and help yourself to return to your calm. You can once again find your inner peaceful self. Remember ….

No one can take that away from you … unless you let them!!

For example, how do others maintain their Inner calm? Let’s take a step back for a minute. If half of the world lives in poverty and has a poor future or no control over their lives, why do they look content or even seem happy in pictures we see?

Why do Americans who volunteer to help them say how much they love it because those people show so much appreciation and happiness? I see it too when I’m visiting in different 3rd World countries. Also, when my daughters were in Africa they saw the young people sit their jugs of water down, smile, and start clapping &singing together spontaneously while they were being watched!

Why didn’t they look despondent, afraid, and feel sorry for themselves? What have they learned about their living situation? Poverty and lack of opportunity are depressing circumstances.

I believe that those that are impoverished really can’t do too much to change it so, they have learned to find their Inner Calm. Their Joy. Even though their life is rough & hard, they have joy that they’re alive another day.

Is life to them so very precious? Isn’t it comforting to think that they have family, beliefs, and nature, that support their Joy because it seems they have near to nothing elseThey choose to have Inner Peace for themselves. No one can take that away from them!

The same is true of you! You can choose … to let go … of mishaps, interruptions, and interference. So, if you’re secure, take control and be happy! Detach and reduce Stressful things. Because losing control and having Unexpected feelings are common things that happen in our lives.

№4 we’ll call CHANGING YOUR FEELINGS or Intentional Thinking. Your thinking and your mind now enter into the equation operating logically and with reasoning for one’s actions. Your mind is ready to come to your defense, and help you with whatever you want.

The mind tells you that your fears and concerns are not that much to worry about. It says “Let’s wait and see”. It assures you that you can handle anything that comes your way

Now you are lead to Intentional Thinking so you can turn the Negative feelings into Positive feelings. It tells you not to believe the negative things you hear or feel and gives you the signal that everything is going fine, and it’s OK.

Your mind suggests that you “change” your feelings. Once you become aware of your feelings, you can work on finding a way to turn helplessness into hopefulness, frustration & anger into constructive actions, and that will decrease your stress and boost your health.

Now your feelings have reached another level. You’re changing them! Your rational thinking gives you encouragement to face your challenges. Now you feel outwardly as a person who has things under control and is ready for whatever you go through!

You’ve been determined to accomplish anything you want. Right! You’ve been doing it since you were born, haven’t you? Of course! Controlling your feelings helps you strive harder and direct your own personal goals.

Another solution is to Monitor Your Feelings. Feelings are there no matter what you do so identify them and call them by their name. Notice what you are thinking and what you’re feeling, and look for a pattern. Then you’ll be quicker to convert the feeling to something more Positive.

To help you realize your true feelings, take a walk outside in Nature. You may find an analogy between the workings of nature and circumstances similar to yours. This can be a way the mind reveals things to you so you can see your true feeling and change it so it can become more positive.

Think of the opposite of what you feel and focus on the Positive Opposite. Don’t give in to bad feelings! Identify them, and then move on and forget about them for the time being. Take time and find your inner calm once again. You can do this!

Positive thinking gives you the advantages you desire. OK! Write it down!

Your mind is so powerful and kicks in and stops problems so, your feelings learn to move toward a more “pro-active” solution. That means doing things that are helpful to you. Can you see your mind at work finding acceptable compromises to your “poor me” whining and worries?

Watch and see your mind working to overcome your Objections!

So, what about your body? Is your body ready to do whatever it can to help make you happy? If you are depressed and worried, your body has the ability to express that by becoming somewhat sick in some way for you. Excessive uneasiness and apprehension can make anyone sick. It may even create panic attacks.

Your body slows you down in hopes that it’ll help you build up your strength, so you can do better at coping. Your body pushes harder on the times you need it to push harder however; it can also let you manifest your bad feelings of worry and stress.

Your body’s desire is to please you, so it may help you to become sick. Change your mind so your body can help you be healthier. Remember? STRESS KILLS! Chronic stress is linked to the six leading causes of death! It’s the #1 killer!

Stress is a bad habit to get into so, do away with stress and Monitor your Emotions. Especially when they are negative! Do that so your body can help you be healthy. Take time and adopt a POSITIVE ATTITUDE.

№5 FEELINGS CAUSED BY HORMONES Two hormones are responsible for the regulation and control of emotions. Hormonal “Ups and Downs” more often occur in Teenagers and women who are especially affected and experience emotions, moods, feelings, and impulses caused by their body’s hormones.

This is a wonderful thing and although annoying, it’s something that is great for Teens and adults. The hormones fluctuate with testosterone, along with estrogen, and progesterone, and affect your body and the way you may feel and think. Emotions often surge with the fluctuation of hormones, requiring you to be flexible. These feelings and emotions are essential for survival.

The more you are patient and understanding, the more you will be able to ride the waves of fluctuating body changes. Accept that this is a process of “Life” and one of the stages you will go through. Learn how to overcome feelings of being overwhelmed. This too shall pass!

Be patient, understanding, and RELAX. You may see yourself feeling like throwing a complete fit. Males and females alike. Yet it’s not helpful to you or anyone else so, admit you are having hormonal surges, and admit you can deal with them. Stop and relax because there is not much else you can do. Show patience with yourself!

It may take LESS TIME for the hormonal surge to pass if you recognize what’s going on. This could also apply to men with Post Traumatic Stress. When it gets triggered and depression or more set in, stop and relax and recognized what’s going on.

Go elsewhere, like to your “peaceful place” and give your body your time and attention someplace safe. Do something relaxing. Make the body feel secure. This roller coaster ride will stop and the urge will go away, wither it takes an hour or many days.

You can be comfortable if … you know what’s going on and have a sense of some control. Identify what you think it feels like so you can recognize how it feels when it returns again. It’s strong but extremely valuable! Reduce the drama in your life and focus on things that bring you inner calm, and better health.

You know that there is such a thing as being overwhelmed with feelings, right? You’ve felt that way and you’ve seen others react.

That’s when you’re emotionally overwhelmed with a desire to weep or cry. Truly being overwhelmed with feelings is phenomenal. It’s an extraordinary experience for your body, mind, and spirit.

It can be about your blessings when you feel overjoyed. Or sometimes it’s about a tragedy that hits yourself or others so you feel compassion. You could possibly be feeling overwhelmed about your own circumstances

Can you think of a time this has happened to you? “According to Frey “Crying is not only a human response to sorrow and frustration, but it’s also a healthy response.”

It’s a natural way to reduce stress that, if left unchecked, and can have negative physical effects on the body. So let it out! It’s OK to feel weak or sad, and want to cry. It’ll be OK to “fall apart” when you feel overwhelmed. You’re courageous and others look up to you so, you deserve to be happy.

Being true to your own self and your own personal feelings is one of your highest priorities. You have permission to express this amazing “overwhelming phenomenal” that’s built into you. Take a deep breath and relax and use it at any time, and anywhere you want.

№6 DEEP FEELINGS Caused by Real Problems and Real Victories!

This could be considered the last level of feelings. We each experience these waves of events that affect our lives with setbacks over our lifetime. Things like health problems, break up with a “first love”, financial difficulties, and extra difficult circumstances. Real problems are even the death of a pet or a loved one.

When this happens, we experience Deep Feelings of Sadness. These types of Real Problems can be expressed best by sharing them with others. Sharing what you are going through with caring family and friends is helpful and often enlightening, so share but in a positive, if possible.

However, remember, when you have a wonderful support group, don’t take advantage of them just because they’re showing you so much attention. It’s tempting to be selfish and spoiled because you’re surrounded by their loving care! But please, don’t waste their time and your time with pettish complaining and whining.

Give up being a drama queen or king just because it gives you attention. Be grateful they care and understand you have experienced real problems and then go it alone and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Grow up and give up stress and worry.

Try changing the problem. When sharing with others what you are going through it is helpful, but it should make you better at caring for others… in the same way, now that you have gained additional insight and empathy! Once again, do this in a positive way.

This last level of Deep Feelings also includes real Victories! Victories that give you deeper feelings of real Joy. We experience great happiness with glorious breakthroughs, through winning and having Victories, or by finding new and loving relationships.

These are the feelings that matter the most! Getting something you’ve worked hard for, will give you a deep sense of joy and satisfaction. Elevate your maturity level daily by being grateful, passionate, and productive

You will grow to become a more appreciative, caring individual. You can be the kind of person who is content and full of joy, and who is able to share deep feelings of happiness and sadness when they arrive. Become a better you by identifying and supervising your feelings and rational thinking.

Time to sign off Friend! I hope I’ve given you a little bit more to think about to see how feelings work and why you want to be aware of those feelings. Be aware and at the same time, keep them “in check”. These are things I have learned through my 75 years of living.

Stay focused on your goals so you’ll avoid being dragged down by negative feelings and thinking. Do some fun things to enjoy this beautiful world you live in. Be active, help others, and be restful to complete the cycle of gaining more Balance and Harmony in your life. Stay safe!!!
